The Consultation: The purpose of our initial consultation is to meet you and for you to meet us. It is so important that we get along with our clients and for us to have a good working relationship in order to get the full potential out of your garden space (tea and biscuits is always a necessity!). It is amazing how much you can learn about a client's lifestyle and tastes from the initial consultation which can be the key to unlocking the many ideas that will end up in your finished garden. We will view your garden landscape, giving you some initial ideas and discuss how they relate to your own requirements, time scale and objectives. This visit can take up to two hours during which time there will be the opportunity to view examples of recent or on-going projects from the Isola Garden Design portfolio. Should you wish to follow the Isola design process, then a summary of your requirements, along with a breakdown of the design fees will be sent to you. Once we have had your approval to proceed then we can move onto the next stage of the process. |

The Survey: This can take several hours depending on the size, shape and complexity of your garden space and involves the designer walking around the garden, to accurately survey, study and absorb the existing layout. Detailed notes and reference photographs are taken to record the relationship of the house to the garden, levels taken, boundaries recorded and surrounding views noted. We will advise you of any conditions that are discovered during the course of the survey which may have a bearing on how the design in executed. For large sites, or where it is difficult to measure the site, a surveyor may be required to complete a building and land survey. |

The Design In Motion: Once the survey of your garden landscape has been completed, the design process begins. This can take between 4 - 8 weeks depending on the complexity of the design. A number of visits maybe required before you are happy with the concept design, but in most cases one or two visits is more than adequate. Once the concept design has been finalised and agreed, your master plan is produced and a meeting is arranged to present and discuss the plan in detail. Now the garden design process has been completed, you will have firm ideas about how you want to carry out the project. Isola, unlike many other Garden Design Companies, benefits from having its own in-house landscaping team, making sure your design is landscaped to the highest quality and in line with standard UK building regulations. |
